### Managing Your Automations

Here you can enable, disable or delete your automations with ease by clicking on the three-dot menu next to each automation:

# Copywriting Templates

Copywriting templates (or just "Writing templates") are a great way to speed up your existing workflows for writing things like persuasive ad copy, headlines, emails and more.

Mavis AI offers 100+ ready-to-use templates, or you can create your own custom templates tailored to your unique use cases.

### Using Writing Templates

Using a writing template is simple and straightforward. Simply choose the template you want, and fill out the fields before hitting the "Generate" button.

The copy will typically be generated almost instantly. From here, you can bookmark, copy or transpose your outputs onto the rich text editor on the right:

### How To Create A Custom Writing Template

Your use case is not covered by any of the 100+ templates? No problem, you can create your own custom template! Here's how:

#### Step 1: Go to Writing Templates > Create new template

As you customize your template, adding your own custom prompt, fields and placeholders, you can see exactly what your template UI will look like underneath (in the "Template Preview" section).

The same fields (tone of voice, language and number of variations) you see in other templates can also be used in our own custom template.

The **"URL Input"** field is an interesting one! By enabling it, you will have an additional field where you can enter a URL and have Mavis AI scrape that URL's page and use its contents in the prompt itself.

A perfect example of a template that uses this field is the "Twitter Threads From URL" template:

Any URL added to the **"URL Input"** field will be scraped by Mavis AI and its contents will be used in the prompt itself. So for example, you might create a custom "News summarizer" template that looks something like this:

1. **Article Summarizer from URL**: Summarize content from any URL into a single sentence or paragraph.
2. **News Summaries to Email Newsletter**: Convert a list of news summaries into a "News Roundup Newsletter" email.

With this workflow, you can efficiently generate summaries of articles and then compile those summaries into a polished email newsletter—all within a single streamlined process.

When you use a workflow, the templates included in the workflow appear on the left side of the screen, while the rich text editor is displayed on the right. As you generate content from each template, the outputs appear beneath the corresponding template.

Let’s say you’re using the "News Roundup Email Writer" workflow:

1. **Generate Summaries**: Start by using the "Article Summarizer from URL" template to generate summaries of 5 different articles, one at a time.
2. **Compile Summaries**: Once you have your summaries, paste them into the "News Summaries to Email Newsletter" template in step 2.
3. **Generate Email Variations**: This template will then generate multiple variations of a news roundup email. You can select how many variations you’d like to generate (e.g., 3 variations).
4. **Finalize Your Content**: Choose the email version you prefer and transpose it into the rich text editor on the right, where you can further edit or finalize the content.

* **News Search Results**: Use the built-in search engine that connects to Bing News to search for the latest news articles on any topic. Choose the articles you'd like to use as references for your new piece.
* **Custom URLs**: Provide up to three news articles by linking to the URLs you want to reference.
* **Custom Text**: Paste your own article text if you have specific content you'd like to include.

For instance, you might search for the latest "Bitcoin" news from the past 24 hours to create an up-to-date article.

This is a common question, and the answer is: No, Mavis AI does not simply paraphrase articles. The news articles generated by Mavis AI are entirely original, with a structure and format distinct from the sources provided.

1. **Reading the Source(s)**: Mavis AI reads the articles you've provided.
2. **Extracting Key Facts**: It identifies and extracts the essential facts, data, quotes, and key events from these articles, filtering out any unnecessary information or filler content.
3. **Headline Generation**: Based on the extracted facts, Mavis AI generates a new, relevant headline for the story.
4. **Article and Image Generation**: Mavis AI takes the following into account:

   * The key facts (including quotes, numbers, key events, and context)
   * The newly generated headline

# WordPress Integration

Mavis AI's WordPress integration lets you publish your content directly to WordPress, either individually or in bulk.

### Setting up a New WordPress Integration

You can setup a new WordPress integration from the ***Integrations*** menu under your profile in the bottom left.

From here, clicking the "**Connect**" button will prompt you to fill in the following information:

* **WordPress URL** (e.g. "<https://yourdomain.com/>" with a forward slash at the end)
* **Username:** This will be your WordPress username
* **Application Password:** This is NOT the password you use to log into your WordPress account. [Here's how to create a new Application Password.](#creating-a-new-application-password)

### Creating a New Application Password in WordPress

To create a new Application Password, head over to the **Users** section in your sidebar, find the WordPress user that you're going to be adding to Mavis AI and click the **Edit**.

At the very bottom you will find the Application Passwords section where you can create a unique password for Mavis AI:

# Medium Integration

Mavis AI allows you to effortlessly connect your Medium account, enabling you to publish content directly from Mavis AI to your Medium blog. Follow these simple steps to set up the integration:

#### How to Connect Your Medium Account

**1. Generate an Integration Token**\
Begin by navigating to your **Medium Account Settings** and selecting **Security**.

* Click on **"Integration tokens"** and generate a new token. This token will be used to authenticate your Medium account with Mavis AI.

**2. Connect Your Medium Account in Mavis AI**

* Open your Mavis AI dashboard.

**3. Authorize the Connection**

* Paste your Medium integration token into the required field in Mavis AI.

# Publishing

In order to publish Mavis AI content, you need to have at least one integration setup. Check out the [Integrations](/getting-started/integrations) section to learn more about how to setup your first integration.

### Publishing to WordPress

With your WordPress integration live, you can easily publish content from Mavis AI directly to your site.

#### Publishing Articles in Bulk

To publish multiple documents at once:

1. **Select Documents or Folders**\
   Choose the documents or entire folders you wish to publish.
2. **Publish**\
   Click the **"Publish selected"** button to send all selected content to your WordPress site.

When selecting a folder, all documents within that folder will be published.

#### Publishing Individual Articles

To publish a single document, you can either select that document and hit the "Publish selected" button similar to the example above, or you can open that document in Mavis and use the "Publish" option in the editor's menu (the three purple dots in the top left corner) as shown below:

# Teams & Projects

#### Teams & Projects Overview

When you sign up for Mavis AI, a team is automatically created for you, containing a default project named "Main Project," which you can rename as needed.

All documents, folders, and AI outputs are organized within the project where they were created. This allows you to manage different projects for various purposes, keeping everything neatly separated. Users can create unlimited projects.

Integrations also work at the project level. Any integration you create is only available within the project it was set up in. This allows you to maintain separate projects for different websites, with distinct integrations for each.

#### Inviting Team Members

You can invite other Mavis AI users to your team. The number of users you can add depends on your plan. If you've reached your limit and need to add more users, contact us at **<contact@heymavis.ai>** with your requirements.

#### Collaboration and Access

Documents created within a team or project are visible and editable by all team members, making collaboration easy. Invited users will also have access to any integrations you've set up, enabling them to publish content to connected sites or accounts.

#### Project Management

**Switching Between Projects**

* Your current project is always visible in the bottom left sidebar.
* To switch projects, click the current project name, and a popup will display all available projects. Simply click on the project you want to switch to.

* Click on the current project name in the left sidebar.
* In the popup that appears, click the "**Create new project**" button.

# Billing

The Billing page is where you can review and manage all aspects of your account's billing information.

**Accessing the Billing Page**

To access the Billing page:

1. Click on your profile picture in the bottom left sidebar.
2. Select **Billing** from the menu.

**Managing Your Plan**

To see what's included in your current plan or explore other options:

1. Click on the **Change Plan** button.

* **Cancel your current plan**
* **Switch plans** by upgrading, downgrading, or changing between monthly and yearly billing cycles.

**Updating Billing Information**

To view or edit your billing details:

1. Click on the **Manage Billing** link located below the **Change Plan** button.
2. You will be redirected to the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can manage your plans, update billing information, and more.

**Plan Cancellation**

If you choose to cancel your plan, you will still have access to Mavis AI on that plan until the end of your current billing period.

Every time you generate content using any of our Copywriting Templates or Workflows, the outputs are automatically stored in your account's history for easy access.

To view your past outputs:

* Navigate to the left sidebar and click on **History** to see all outputs.

**Understanding Your Usage**

Your Mavis AI usage is tracked in two distinct ways, depending on the tool you use:

* **Credits:** Credits are consumed when using long-form content tools, such as article writers, batch article generators, automations, and the email writer. Each tool will display the number of credits required before you generate content.
* **Words:** The Copywriting Templates, Workflows, and Chat features track usage by the number of words generated. Each time you generate a new output or receive a chat reply, the word count is deducted from your word balance.

On the Usage page, you can monitor:

* The number of credits and words remaining in your account.
* A day-by-day breakdown of the number of words generated over the last 30 days.

**Purchasing Additional Credits**

If you run out of credits, you can easily purchase more:

* Go to the **Usage** page and click on the **Buy Extra Credits** button.
* This will redirect you to the Stripe checkout page, where you can select the number of extra credits you’d like to buy.

**Regular Credits vs. Extra Credits**

* **Regular Credits:** These are part of your monthly plan and reset every month.
* **Extra Credits:** Purchased separately, these credits do not reset monthly and can be used up to 2 years after purchase.

Your plan's regular credits will always be used first. Extra credits will only be deducted if you’ve exhausted your regular credits.

**Example:**\
If you have 6 regular credits and 100 extra credits, generating a content piece that costs 2 credits will leave you with 4 regular credits and 100 extra credits.
